Poem: "The Red Flower" in Kaleidotrope

For the non-Facebook crowd, I published a poem in Kaleidotrope: "The Red Flower." From my post there:

It's an older piece, but I still stand by it. "The Red Flower," inspired most obviously by Dracula (both the book by Bram Stoker and the Universal Pictures horror film), and less obviously by a legend in "Forests of the Vampire: Slavic Myths." Bonus Dracula/Renfield for those who come looking for it.

Coincidentally, I just read (or reread? My memory is like a Swiss cheese) your "Men Who Aren't Crazy" and found it very touching.

Thank you!

It's Dwight Frye season for me, it seems.

It's a good season to be in.
